The big news is at the bottom of this post, but before you scroll down if you’ll allow my a little leeway to give you some background about myself that I haven’t shared before. How I Became A Sports Crazed Maniac My sports obsession started at 11 when my mom, overcompensating for her failed marriage to my [...]

Collaros had a big day against OU. With Zach on the sidelines the Bearcats play more like Meercats.

Although his last name may rhyme with “fugly”, Cincinnati Bearcats’ tight end Ben Guidugli is a college football top ten hottie of 2010. His pitcher, Bearcats’ quarterback Zach Collaros , checked in at #24 on my list earlier this year, but the Big East’s top passer was sidelined against Syracuse with a bruised knee suffered late in the South [...]

This year’s midterms have been particularly bad because of the Supreme Court’s ruling that corporations are the same as individuals and therefore aren’t subject to spending limits or even simple disclosure.
I don’t even watch anything other than ESPN. Simple I know, but it keeps me happy .

Good pitching beats good hitting. I was raised to believe in that, but somewhere along the way I lost my way; kind of like most of us do with religion. But it wasn’t a handsy priest that precipitated my early onset of Alzheimers, but rather drugs. No, not the ones I’ve taken, but the kind [...]

Trailing two games to none and embarrassed in San Francisco, the Rangers needed a lift and a win to get back into the World Series. It’s who they got the lift from that was a little bit unbelievable. Rookie first baseman and No. 9 hitter Mitch Moreland’s second inning, three-run blast was all the Rangers [...]

Looks like Lane Kiffin’s personality is trickling down at USC. In advance of this weekend’s game versus Oregon Trojans quarterback Matt Barkley and lineman Jurrell Casey took to Twitter and the traditional media to take jabs at Oregon.
“Wow, Brock just got rocked! Lesnar is to Oregon as Velasquez is to SC. Lezgo.” — Matt Barkley
“They have [...]

OK, so forget everything I said yesterday about Game 2 of the World Series. I clearly don’t know what the hell I’m talking about. C.J. Wilson and Matt Cain were bang on. Since I can’t delete yesterday’s post I will man up and do the right thing, deflect my sports ignorance and anger onto Rangers’ manager Ron [...]

To some it was a game full of surprises as the Giants beat down the Rangers to take Game 1 of the 2010 World Series, 11-7. The cliff notes version: Cliff Lee wasn’t sharp; the Giants adjusted; the Rangers committed a season-high four errors; and Juan Uribe’s defense snuffed out two Rangers’ scoring opportunities.
Cliff Lee Lee’s dominance [...]

Yankee fans put a new spit, er..I mean spin on the old saying “If you can’t beat ‘em, join ‘em”. Last week when Cliff Lee was busy shutting down the Yankees in the Bronx, it appears some extremist fans were showering the Rangers’ families, including Lee’s wife, Kristen Lee, with profanities (no big deal), beer (kinda [...]
