We often hear football analysts warn us non-football types not to read too much into what happens in the preseason. And while these analysts make some valid points, I often think to myself not how important practice is, but how important it is to practice perfectly.
Anyone who has ever coached anything from little league to the [...]

James Madison, a Football Championship Subdivision (FCS) school, stunned the 13th-ranked Virginia Tech Hokies 21-16 at Blacksburg Saturday continuing an early season trend of ACC football futility. It’s just the second week of the season and already we’ve seen five FCS schools beat FBS schools. ACC Big Losers In the opening weekend ACC heavyweights North Carolina and [...]

Auburn quarterback Cam Newton was once known as the heir apparent to wonder boy Tim Tebow at Florida, but since he liked other people’s laptops better than his own, and steroid Jesus was ahead of him on the depth chart, Newton decided — after being suspended — to take his talents to Blinn Junior College [...]

Not sure this makes sense, but In s strange way I’m envious of your situation — experiencing the immediacy of a life-altering event, spurring you to live life in a refined way.

Impressive research. A buddy of mine and I moved to the beach for the summer one year and without reservation I can say the smartest decision we made that entire summer was settling on a place with a view of the water.
So whatever you decide make sure it’s a room with a view.

I hate dogfighting, bullfighting and cockfig….er, wait a minute, you get the point. Except for the unsuspecting children, any buttmunch who performs, produces or attends one of these events is getting what they deserve, even when things go awry. Amazing video — Bulls Gone Wild! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-sMMVLwKL8w Oh, I forgot it’s ‘part of their culture’ so [...]

Wisconsin backup quarterback Curt Phillips makes his second appearance in as many years in the Top 25 Hotties Rankings, but, facing stiffer competition this season, Phillips’ hotness ranking dropped from #6 in 2009 to #17 in 2010. Last year playing in a limited role — that’s nice for he only played when the game was way out of hand [...]

Looks like Brett Favre’s training camp opens today just like it did exactly one year ago today when he showed at Vikings training camp on August 18, 2009. I’d rather watch Muhammad Ali fill a bird feeder than hear anymore conjecture about Favre’s status right now. Seriously, Favre’s off-the-field decisions are about as anticlimactic as a [...]

The first Ohio State Buckeye to crack our list of the Top 25 College Football Hotties of 2010 is freshman wide receiver Chris Fields. Although he was quick in accepting his offer to play for his home state university, Fields was relegated to scout team duties and redshirted in 2009. Known for sure hands and sick-ass speed, [...]

I caught World Cup fever this year, in fact I caught it four years ago as well. However, in the four years that pass between World Cups I pay as much attention to soccer-football as I do the Olympics. To remedy that I’ve decided to adopt an English Premier League team, and after a few hours [...]

I’ve always felt that if you can’t own your faults and accept the criticism that come with them then you’re probably not on the road to forgiveness. So is the case with two-time ‘alleged’ sexual assaulter and suspended quarterback Ben Roethlisberger , who according to USA Today changed the hometown listed on his Pittsburgh Steelers bio because of criticism he received [...]

Stop me if you’ve heard this one before: Charles Barkley, Scottie Pippen and Larry Bird disagree with LeBron’s decision to take his talents to South Beach. OK, so we’ve all heard from the ultra-competitive old timers’ gang before, but they can’t seem to let this one go. The latest comments took place last night at the [...]
