Okay boys and girls enough of politics (for now) time to get back to the Rainbow world and in particular sports and transgender identity. Today in several news articles many folks have been introduced to Kye Allums a George Washington University women’s basketball player who has disclosed his transgender identity. As reported by Brandon Williams at Bleacher Report , [...]

For those who aren’t regular readers of this blog and writer I need to give you a little background on myself before the commentary below. Back in the late 70′s and early 80′s when I worked at two of our local radio stations here in Danbury, CT, besides being the sports director and the stations on-air [...]

Although his last name may rhyme with “fugly”, Cincinnati Bearcats’ tight end Ben Guidugli is a college football top ten hottie of 2010. His pitcher, Bearcats’ quarterback Zach Collaros , checked in at #24 on my list earlier this year, but the Big East’s top passer was sidelined against Syracuse with a bruised knee suffered late in the South [...]

With little fanfare other than a couple of mentions on Facebook and a link in a political posting here on Focus On The Rainbow on Tuesday, Goggle Analytics show that over 200 people viewed the LGBT Newscenter which features a LIVE news feed from CBS News to watch election coverage on-line. The majority of users were from the United States [...]

While votes are still being counted and some races still to close to call this writer has seen enough of tonight’s election coverage which confirms what I have felt would happen with the mid-term elections. The majority of Americans don’t care about LGBT issues and rights, DADT and other things near and dear to Rainbow hearts. And [...]

This year’s midterms have been particularly bad because of the Supreme Court’s ruling that corporations are the same as individuals and therefore aren’t subject to spending limits or even simple disclosure.
I don’t even watch anything other than ESPN. Simple I know, but it keeps me happy

Good pitching beats good hitting. I was raised to believe in that, but somewhere along the way I lost my way; kind of like most of us do with religion. But it wasn’t a handsy priest that precipitated my early onset of Alzheimers, but rather drugs. No, not the ones I’ve taken, but the kind [...]
