Although your issue is our issue so I will continue searching for a resolution to this issue. Some people have figured a workaround by doing the things suggested here: http://ios.forums.wordpress.org/topic/communications-error?replies=6#post-3778 I've got the opposite problem as you. My iPad works just fine but not my iPhone. The app is adding my username into the http authentication section as suggested in the link but I can't seem to make the fix work like some of the other users have been able to do. Let me know if this workaround works for you.

Jarred, Still looking at the issue and I don’t like deflecting blame but it does appear this is a known issue with the latest WordPress app 2.6.2 for iOS and not an issue with OutLoudBlogs. The error was from the iPad. I attempted to connect to a self-hosted word press blog in the app. For the site, I added my blog's URL (http://jarredh.outloudblogs.com) and my username and password. When I went to save the account, it said "validating" and then the status changed to "invalid username or password."

Ricky,

The error was from the iPad. Thanks for letting me know about this error. Was it a 500 internal server error? Was it from your iPhone or iPad? And, sorry one more question: If iPhone are you able to manage comments but not posts?
Thanks this info will help me diagnose the issue.
